Bentonite clay is created from volcanic ash. It gives soap a nice slip. This texture is great for shaving soaps, as it helps the razor glide over the skin. Bentonite clay also has strong oil absorbing properties. It absorbs dirt and oil, like sebum. Too much sebum can lead to acne. The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties may help your skin heal, making soaps with bentonite clay a great choice for oily skin.
